Villa dei Vescovi lies in the quiet village of Luvigliano, close to Torreglia
Planned by Falconetto in the 16th century and completed by Andrea da Valle, it is both an artistic and an historical masterpiece, for the presence of large open lodges, which evoke harmonious light effects on the walls and so representing one of the first examples of the characteristic venetian "pictorial" architecture of the following centuries. |
